Friday, September 30, 2016

On a blustery Friday afternoon, on September 30, 2016, the SGL Panthers maul ESC for their first win of the season, by a score of 37-13. The varsity team, led by Jose Espinal as quarterback, scored 19 unanswered points in the first 12 minutes of the 1st half. TDs by Aaron Parker, Papa Ba, and Raymond Moore led the charge. The phenomenal cover 2 defense played by the team was a strong point. Great defensive plays by Jeremeh Asamoah, Angel Santiago, Larry Johnson, and Ajani Madhere held ESC under 14 points. Amaris Goris ran crisp routes to get wide open on numerous plays, and Justin Baez's 3 scores on both sides of the ball sent ESC reeling. Give the team a pat on the back and a high five. They deserve it. LET'S GO PANTHERS!
