Arrival Times @ SGL

As outlined in the SGL Handbook distributed to all students in September, students arriving between 7:45 am and 8:00 am will meet in the back school yard on Rivington between Norfolk and Suffolk Streets. The yard will be opened and supervised beginning at 7:45 am.  Please do not send your child to the school premises prior to 7:45 am as there will not be staff to supervise them and cars do come in and out of that space in the morning.  Students arriving after 8 am will come through the main entrance on Stanton Street.  Any students arriving after 8:10 am are late and will be marked as such.  AS A COURTESY: On days of inclement weather, all students arriving 7:45 am to 8:00 am may come in through Stanton Street and meet in the auditorium.

Do you have questions about your child's attendance or would like to report why your child is late or absent?  Send an email to Ms. Rios at or you may call her at 212.260.5375, x2421.

Please feel free to fax over a doctor's note to 212.432.5586 and attention it to Ms. Rios. You may also scan and email a doctor's note.

If you have questions about detentions or latenesses, please email our Deans, Ms. Alvarez at or Ms. Finkle at
